March 29, 2010
More people 55 and older are staying in the work force now than did in the 1980s and 90s. For those ages 65–69, the percentage increased from 18.4 percent in 1985 to 30.7 percent in 2006. The Employee Benefit Research Institute has just released a report with this and more information about employment trends among people 55 and up.
